Through the clouds, allowing

Allow everything to be as it is and peace will follow.

--

Fog on the highway yesterday. It smelled like a smokey sauna--a sweat lodge--and it danced with the rising sun, his fingers, Jacob's ladders, playfully stirring the swirling mist and clearing a path for me to drive through.

Floating through bands of sunrise clouds, like ripples in a pond, made me think of the story about an old fish swimming back to his childhood home after a good life swimming the ocean wide. He comes across a young fish swimming the opposite direction.

What's it like out there? the young fish asks.

Amazing, the old fish says. The water is warm, the currents are gentle, and the abundance will make you happy.

The young fish looks puzzled. Water? he says, what's water?"

Found you by way of 'Ask'. Question...is your 'gone beyond' stuff anything to do with Ram Dass?

Ram Dass? I'll have to look that one up.

No, going on beyond is a Buddhist thing. Something about the path being more important than the destination. It all comes down to living in the moment. Now.

Thanks for coming by. Hope to see you again.
